Mass-producing May Day Baskets

Here's this year's version. This is about as cheap as it gets.

In the past we've rolled paper doilies into cones and hot glued on a ribbon-handle. We've also made woven hearts out of old paper twist. A great idea I heard about recently is to make cupcakes and use licorice as a handle. We have received baskets made from old plastic strawberry containers.

The trick, of course, is filling the baskets. We've done popcorn, cookies in plastic bags, VEISHEA parade candy, balloons, stickers and fruit snacks.
